Attica. Aegina. c. 480-456 BC. Stater, 12.31g Obv: Smooth-shelled sea turtle, with row of dots down the middle and across top of shell, in the form of a 'T'. Rx: Large incuse square, of 'skew' pattern, divided by straight lines into five compartments. Milbank 15. This coin is an excellent example of the more commonly seen sea turtle. Exceptional centering with all four legs of the turtle on flan. EF
