The Remarkable "Ellerby Area" Hoard of English Gold Coins (1610-1727) | NGC XF40 | George I (1714-1727), 'Prince Elector' Guinea, 1714, first laureate head right, small lettering, no stop after MAG, rev. retrograde 1s in date, crowned shields cruciform, eight strings to harp, seven hearts to Hanoverian shield, edge obliquely milled, 8.29g [127.9grns], 6h (PAS: YORYM-18E848 = BM 2019 T668/181 this coin; MCE 245; Farey 580; EGC 502; Spink 3628), some highly superficial contact marks in fields, otherwise residually lustrous, the reverse a touch off-struck, very fine, with NGC 'Ellerby' Certification, graded XF40 (#6380983-181).
