The Remarkable "Ellerby Area" Hoard of English Gold Coins (1610-1727) | NGC AU53 | George I (1714-1727), Guinea, 1720, fourth laureate head right, nose to I in HIB, rev. crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, six hearts to Hanoverian shield, edge obliquely milled, 8.34g [128.7grns], 6h (PAS: YORYM-18E848 = BM 2019 T668/237 this coin; MCE 252; Farey 640; EGC 512; Spink 3631), lightly flecked in otherwise attractively lustrous fields, rub to hair, otherwise a most pleasing very fine, the reverse even better, with NGC 'Ellerby' Certification, graded AU53 (#6380983-237).
