British Guiana, Barclays Bank 1.3.1940 P-S105s PMG About UNC 50 20 Dollars (Specimen)
Barclays Bank issued banknotes throughout the Caribbean region, including in British Guiana (present-day Guyana). This is a specimen of a higher denomination, and it is very scarce in any form. Printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co., the note has a specimen overprint and "Cancelled" perforations over the signatures. Some light staining is seen around the edges, but it is fairly minimal and not distracting. Issued pieces are extremely rare, and specimens such as this are not exactly common either, making this a prime opportunity for the specialist. PMG mentions "Stains".
