Sarawak 1.7.1929 P-14 PMG Choice Very Fine 35 1 Dollar
An exceptional original example of this challenging type from Sarawak. Printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. This is the initial denomination from the 1929 series, which is similar design to the later notes, but with different colors. Arthur A. Rennie signature, as Treasurer of Sarawak. Issued with just three different prefixes, this type is infrequently seen, but when it is, it is typically in well-circulated condition and with less than ideal eye-appeal. This is an exception to the rule, with strong original embossing, sharp colors and exceptional eye-appeal. A type that presents much better than the technical PMG grade would suggest.
