Singapore ND (1980) P-17a PMG About UNC 50 10,000 Dollars
One of the most iconic issues from Singapore, this is a fully issued, lightly circulated example of the highest denomination from the bird series. With a face value even today of approximately $7,000 US Dollars, the spending power of this note at the time of issue was immense. A very challenging type, for obvious reasons, this is the first we have handled of this denomination (except for a modern specimen $10,000). With its high face value the ownership of any example of this denomination, regardless of condition, is limited to advanced collectors. Aesthetically pleasing, issued notes of this denomination are truly impressive and destined to be a highlight in any advanced Singapore collection or World Paper Money collection. Some folds are noted, as can be expected for the grade, but they confirm originality. An exceptional opportunity.
