Obv: D N IOVIA - [N]VS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped, cuirassed bust r., seen from front. Rx: VOT / V / MVLT / X in wreath closed by medallion at top; SCONST in exergue. Clipped ancient coins are rare; most of the clipping seems to have taken place in late-Roman Britain.This coin apparently circulated in England, where, for the only time, silver coins were cut down (as this one was).
