Hampshire Banking Company, Isle of Wight, proof for an unissued £5, Newport, uniface, black and white, standing allegorical figure at left,, (Outing 1991 for bank), printed on card, usual foxing from age. Previously no banknotes are known from this bank. Very similar design to the Southern District Banking Company Isle of Wight £5. Possibly unique. Important for any provincial note collectors.
