Steatite cylinder seal. Syria, Contemporary to Early Dynastic III, 2750-2350 BC. Two men with elongated faces sit facing left. Before them, three lions advancing left. Length: 20mm. Very early provincial seal. Good style.
From the David Hendin Collection.
The style exhibits a possible Levantine or Cypriot influence, particularly with the 'stick-figure' style men.
