Blue limestone cylinder seal. Old Babylonian Period, 1925-1595 BC. A small cylinder seal with a complex presentation scene: a throned priest/official faces left, with arms raised before an attendant. Behind attendant, three dots separating sections of the seal. Behind that, two supplicants with hands raised, both facing right. The second supplicant is advancing. Length: 11mm. Ashmolean I pl. 33, 456. Slight wear but intact and in a desirable stone.
