(S/M#C282). Matching specimen serial numbers "0004857". A very scarce design issued predominantly in the northern regions of China. Specimens of this design are seldom encountered, and it is practically unheard of to encounter both Front and Back Specimens in the same lot. On the front, a camel with tents is pictured at right with an ornate dark green guilloche at left. On the back, an all blue design with Mongolian text at center flanked by 5000 Yuan obligations on each side that are surrounded by an intricately lathed guilloche protector. This is a matched set. PMG comments "Minor Repairs" on both notes.
