This outstanding vertical format note shows with absolutely radiant color throughout. The note is seen with a deep red bordering design that houses a detailed harbor vignette at lower center and brilliant blue facing dragons with red pearl of wisdom between. Portrait of Li Hongzhang is at upper center. A terrific rayed under printing extends to the borders of the note and the effect truly is remarkable. A back design is seen printed in orange and blue with highly intricate lathe work throughout. One of the more attractive examples we have handled for the type.
