(t) CHINA. Ming Dynasty. 10 Cash, ND (ca. 1621-27). Emperor Xi Zong (Tian Qi). Graded 82 by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-20.229; FD-2020; S-1223. Weight: 38.0 gms. Variety with Liang to right. Obverse: "Tian Qi Tong Bao"; Reverse: "Shi Yi Liang". This nicely preserved and original looking example exhibits clear well-formed characters with slightly naturally rough fields. The surfaces display an attractive mottled brassy patina with areas of richer coloration and minor earthen deposits amongst the devices. Close inspection of the reverse rims reveals remaining evidence of the finishing process adding to its originality and pleasing appearance.
