(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. 50 Cash, ND (ca. June 1853-February 1854). Board of Revenue Mint, Eastern branch. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded 80 by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.705. Weight: 43.8 gms. Variety with Fou Bao and six stroke Bei. Obverse: "Xian Feng Zhong Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Wu Shi". This wholesome and original looking example displays pleasing brassy patina with richer coloration in the fields and amongst the devices. The characters are nicely formed with much of the naturally rough surface texture in the fields. Minor earthen deposits amongst the devices adds to its originality and a bit of character to this handsome survivor.
