(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Engraved 100 Cash, ND (ca. March 1854-July 1855). Board of Revenue Mint, Western branch. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded Genuine by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.710. Weight: 44.4 gms. Variety with Fou Bao and seven stroke Bei. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Bai". This handsome example displays attractive rich brassy patina with a brighter coloration on the high points and exposed areas. The characters are bold and nicely formed with evidence of the naturally rough surface texture amongst the devices. The engraving, clearly done long ago, adds a bit of charm to this pleasing survivor that is sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.

Estimate: $600 - $800
