CHINA. Qing Dynasty. 500 Cash, ND (ca. March-August 1854). Board of Works Mint, Old branch. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). VERY FINE.
Hartill-22.765. Weight: 51.33 gms. Variety with seven stroke Bei. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Wu Bai". This decently preserved and moderately worn example displays bold well-formed characters with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices. The naturally rough surface texture is mostly intact, though the exposed areas do show signs of handling and the rims exhibit marks and abrasions. A presentable example of this high denomination issue with a pleasing appearance that is sure to please.
