CHINA. Qing Dynasty. 500 Cash, ND (ca. March-August 1854). Board of Works Mint, Old branch. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). VERY FINE Details.
Hartill-22.765. Weight: 55.32 gms. Variety with Fou Bao. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Wu Bai". This moderately handled example displays attractive brown patina with minor earthen deposits and verdigris amongst the devices. The characters are bold and well-formed with much of the naturally rough surface texture still intact, though the exposed areas and high points do show signs of handling. A presentable example of the high denomination issue that is to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters.
