CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Fujian. 100 Cash, ND (ca. 1853-55). Fuzhou Mint. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). VERY FINE.
Hartill-22.784; FD-2526. Weight: 186.39 gms. Variety with one dot Tong. Obverse: "Xian Feng Tong Bao"; Reverse: "Yi Bai". This decently preserved large format issue boasts well-formed characters with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices and crevasses. Much of the naturally rough surface texture is intact, though the exposed areas do show light signs of handling, with evidence of the finishing process present on the high points. This charming example offers a pleasing appearance with good eye appeal.
