CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Fujian. 50 Cash, ND (ca. 1853-55). Fuzhou Mint. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). VERY FINE.
Hartill-22.795; FD-2525. Weight: 103.56 gms. Obverse: "Xian Feng Zhong Bao"; Reverse: "Wu Shi"; Rim: "Er Liang Wu Qian". This wholly original looking survivor exhibits nicely formed characters with plenty of remaining naturally rough surface texture in the fields. Close inspection of the rims and edge reveals numerous chopmarks adding to its originality as well as lending to its utilitarian nature. These large size issues are always popular and in demand certain to catch the attention of many collectors.
