CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Fujian. 100 Cash, ND (ca. 1853-55). Fuzhou Mint. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). VERY FINE.
Hartill-22.800; FD-2528. Weight: 176.20 gms. Obverse: "Xian Feng Zhong Bao"; Reverse: "Yi Bai". This charming large-size denomination exhibits rich brown patina with areas of lighter coloration that is complemented by minor earthen deposits amongst the devices. The characters are bold, though slightly muddled, with much of the naturally rough surface texture still intact. This nicely preserved survivor offers a pleasing appearance and much original that is sure to catch the attention of many collectors.
