Hartill-22.808. Weight: 41.9 gms. Variety with straight Gung. Obverse: "Xian Feng Zhong Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Wu Shi". This nicely preserved engraved example displays attractive rich mottled brassy patina with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices that adds to its pleasing appearance. The characters are well-formed, bold are complemented by the handsome engraving. Close inspection of the surfaces reveals four small holes that are filled with dirt, not mentioned on the holder, probably done for suspension long ago. Despite its shortcomings, this handsome survivor offers a pleasing appearance and is sure to add depth to the next collection it enters.

Estimate: $1000 - $1500
