(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Henan. 100 Cash, ND (ca. 1854-55). Kaifeng or other local Mints. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded 82 by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.848; FD-2493. Weight: 50.7 gms. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Bai". This nicely preserved example displays rich brassy patina with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices. Much of the naturally rough surface texture is intact, though the exposed areas do show signs of handling. The high points are a bit brighter in color with much evidence of the finishing process adding to its originality and pleasing appearance.
