(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Jiangsu. 100 Cash, ND (ca. 1854-55). Suzhou or other local Mints. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded 82 by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.913. Weight: 51.3 gms. Variety with small Bao. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao"; Reverse: "Dan Bai". This handsome and nicely preserved example displays rich brassy patina with areas of light coloration. The open fields retain a good amount of the naturally rough surface texture while the high points exhibit much evidence of the finishing process. Minor earthen deposits and small areas of verdigris amongst the devices adds to its pleasing appearance and originality.
