(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Jiangsu. 100 Cash, ND (ca. 1854-55). Suzhou or other local Mints. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded 82 by Zhong Qian Ping Ji Grading Company.
Hartill-22.917. Weight:60.4 gms. Variety with medium Bao. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Bai". This nicely preserved and very attractive example boasts well-formed characters with intact naturally rough surface texture and plenty of evidence of the finishing process. The high points are a pleasing brassy coloration while the fields and crevasses are a richer patina with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices. Wholly original looking this handsome survivor is sure to see spirited bidding from many collectors.
