(t) CHINA. Qing Dynasty. Sichuan. 100 Cash, ND (ca. 1854-55). Chengdu Mint. Emperor Wen Zong (Xian Feng). Graded 85 by GBCA Grading Company.
Hartill-22.981; FD-2532. Weight: 52.6 gms. Obverse: "Xian Feng Yuan Bao"; Reverse: "Dang Bai". This richly toned example is pleasing to the eye and wholly original looking. Mottled deep brassy patina coupled with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices adds to its pleasing appearance. The high points are relatively smooth with much or of the naturally rough surface texture still intact. This handsome survivor offers much originality with good eye appeal that is sure to make a nice addition to the next collection it enters.

Note: Close inspection of the holder reveals a break in the plastic where a portion is missing in the lower right corner on the obverse side. For interested bidders that would like to have this piece reholdered after the auction we would be more than happy to help facilitate this action.

Estimate: $600 - $800
