CHINA. Shanxi Xiaobao. Provincial Small Ingots. Silver 1 Tael Presentation Ingot, ND. EXTREMELY FINE.
BMC-Class XXIV Group D # 224. Weight: 37.30 gms. "Ji Qing" in seal script (joint congratulations). This nicely preserved little ingot displays lovely rich gray tone with beautiful multi-colored iridescent patina adding to its pleasing appearance. The stamp somewhat shallow with the central portion of the characters slightly obscured due to a natural void from the manufacturing process. A rather SCARCE issue, this is only the second example that we can recall offering with the other piece being sold in our April 2014 Hong Kong auction Lot # 40012.
