The vast and varied gathering primarily consists of Spanish Colonial Portrait coinage, but does include a couple of pillar minors, later Republican minors and Spanish mainland minors, all silver. Mints contained are Cadiz, Guatemala City, Lima, Madrid, Mexico City, Nueva Guatemala, Santiago, Seville, San Luis Potosi and Zacatecas. All display varying degrees of tone from a thin veneer to thick dark patination, some are attractive. Most have been cleaned, scratched, holed, environmental damage and/or may have other defects.
