CHINA. Hupeh. Hankou. Tea Brick, ND (Post 1878). VERY FINE Details.
Weight: 990 gms. 173 mm X 224 mm. Obverse: Imperial Russian Eagle within ovaloid, Chinese figures and emblems around, all within raised solid border; Reverse: Blank. Thought to have been manufactured in Hankou by Russian traders for export to Russia. The whole of the brick has been coasted in some kind of lacquer or paint, presumably to prevent further deterioration.
