The historically important badge of the Two Orders of Christ and St. Bento d`Aviz
Gilt silver, 95x52 mm, oval medallion, chiseled and decorated with a-jour foliage and flowers,within a chiseled border of stylized roses, both sides enriched with the oval, medallions of the twoorders in gold and enamels, upper, hinged royal crown with enameled "jewels" and chiseled details,suspended to the original, silk sash with the combined colours of the two Orders.Prince Victor Napoleon (Paris, 1862 - Brussels, 1926), was son of Prince Napoleon JosephCharles Paul Bonaparte (1822-1891) and Princess Maria Clotilde of Savoy (1843 - 1911), had animportant role in the monarchist attempt to let France`s III Republic fall, after the crisis determined atthe death of President Félix Faure, the so-called "Affaire Dreyfus" and the difficult social/economicalsituation after the Franco-Prussian war.
