Order of People`s Liberation
An extremely rare 2nd Type Badge, 49x46 mm, GOLD, superimposed with an oval medallion of patinated silver with the scene of saluting peasants, workers and children (as an allegory of conquered liberty) within a border of laurel, grain and a beaming, red enameled star, the reverse, struck with "IKOM" and Yugoslavian gold mark "900", "IKOM ZAGREB" and the award number "166" and the screwback suspension, the nut also inscribed "IKOM ZAGREB", in the original, blue, fitted case of issue, the lid printed in gold with the state`s coat-of arms and "NARODNOOSLOBOENJE".This order, instituted by Josip Broz "Tito" in 1943, was awarded for "outstanding contribution in organizing and directing the uprising and the creation and development of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia" (as stated in the definitive decree). It ranked as the 6th highest award of the Republic and in its existence, it was awarded 262 times only. I RR!
