In his work of Pedro I Iconography, author Stanislau Herstal cites that four pattern strikes for the Coronation Piece of Pedro I were done in Copper planchets. Only a second piece is known in private hands and no records of any kind from public auctions. An iconic pattern from newly independent Brazil.
