Pedro I gold 4000 Reis 1825-B, KM369.2, Russo-603, VF Details - Plugged NGC. Worn as jewelry at one time with surfaces that have been moderately abraded and polish over to blunt the affects. Inspection with a loupe shows that metal around IMP in the legend has been moved and suggests that a hole once existed with the detail having since been reapplied. Loads of highpoint detail remains however, and the date and mintmark are impressively bold. A rare issue from the mint at Bahia that the connoisseur of Brazilian coinage will without doubt realize as special. Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $2750 in VF, $6600 in EF, $14500 in UNC.
Estimate: 3000-4000 USD
