Pedro I gold 6400 Reis 1825-B, KM370.2, Russo-606, MS62 NGC. Sharp strike especially for the mint in Bahia. Planchet is wide and rims are perfect. Tiny marks by "DEF" on the obverse preventing an ever higher grade. Date is bold and quite distinct. A premium coin.Upon his coronation in December of 1822, Pedro II ordered changes to the design of the coins and a new issue was released in 1823 featuring the Emperor in full military regalia, quite different from his depiction as a Roman Emperor in the Coronation piece of 1822.
