Pedro II gold 10000 Reis 1838, KM451, Russo-619, XF Details - Reverse Rim Repair, Cleaned NGC. Mintage: 482. A rare date and the lowest mintage in the series with good detail retention, but surfaces that indicate past usage in jewelry. While not easily apparent, some surfaces smoothing has occurred just inside the dentils at 3 o'clock on the reverse and is the cause for NGC's "Rim Repair" notation. Likely similar to the unplated Norweb specimen that was cataloged as a polished Fine.
