China
People's Republic Tomb of Emperor Huang gold Proof 500 Yuan 1993, KM593, Fr-84, Proof 66 Deep Cameo PCGS. Edge Numbered: 084. Mintage: 99. Stylistically simplistic, but profoundly beautiful in execution with aged trees on the reverse flanking the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of unified China, and the iconic Great Wall of China, much of it put in place by Huang, on the obverse. Several light hairlines in the open fields define the grade, but these are nothing to be trifled over. As the scant mintage would suggest, this commemorative issue is rare and given the cultural heritage theme of the issue, it's no surprise that offerings are even rarer. While no recent auction records are available, a single private treaty sale has been noted from reliable source at $134,998 in August of 2011. We have little doubt that the present coin, given its long absence from the public eye, will garner similar attention.

Estimate: 100000-150000 USD
