Republic gold Proof 1915 10 Pesos, KM20, Fr-3, PR64 Ultra Cameo NGC. Very Choice Proof, and in choice condition for the assigned grade. Reported mintage of only 20 pieces. The cataloger of the Eliasberg specimen (which graded PR63) estimated a mintage figure not exceeding the two or three dozen believed struck for the 1915 20 Pesos which is now reported also at 20 pieces. Only the 1916 10 Pesos and the fabled 1916 Proof 20 Pesos are rarer as a type, the latter is probably a six-figure coin today. Undoubtedly among the finest known, and a coin certain to elicit strong interest. Krause catalog price(s) for this item: $610 in VF, $625 in EF, $650 in UNC, $850 in BU.
