Republic gold Pattern 20 Francs 1848, Maz-1242 (R.4), Specimen 66 PCGS. By P. Boivin. The motifs are frosted with linear die polish lines in the fields (as made) that emit a shimmering appearance and the surface are nearly flawless with a faint blush of copper color here and there. A rare pattern in gold with an appealing, pseudo-classical design.
