Frankfurt. Free City gold Ducat 1636-AE, KM85, Fr-972, MS64 PCGS. A very appealing example, well-struck, lightly toned, and fully lustrous. The relief of the eagle's breast has resulted in a touch of striking weakness in the center of the reverse but all other details are very sharp and the surfaces are remarkably free of noteworthy abrasions.
