THRACIAN KINGDOM. Lysimachus (305-281 BC). AR tetradrachm (29mm, 16.95 gm, 1h). Lysimacheia, ca. 297/6-282/1 BC. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; monogram in circle to inner left, HP monogram in exergue. This monogram combination unpubliushed, but cf. CNG 84, lot 157 for a coin struck from the same set of dies. Extraordinary obverse portrait! NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 3/5.
