ANCIENT COIN JEWELRY. Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC). AR tetradrachm in gold bolo tie setting. Settings of high-carat gold, the central fluted medallion 43mm in diameter with the coin surrounded by 56 small faceted diamonds; ends of black cord die clad in Greek-inspired lion-headed terminals. Total metal weight approximately 72 grams (about 17 of which are the silver tetradrachm, the rest hold and stones). The coin, toned Very Fine, appears to be a lifetime or early posthumous issue. A magnificent tie for a Classical Cowboys!
