Great Britain
Richard II (1377-99) gold Quarter Noble ND, S-1672, North-1317 (very rare), London mint, "R" in center of reverse, MS62 NGC, a choice example of this rare little gold issue, the flan nearly round, dies not quite centered, obverse central shield a bit doubled but the all-important king's name is fully clear, and so is the entire reverse legend, lustrous with choice surfaces, faint flan crack outlining two arches of the tressure to right. One of the finest examples to appear at auction recently.
