Edward IV (1st Reign, 1461-70) Flemish gold Ryal ND, S-1952, Flemish imitation of the Light Coinage Issue of 1464-70, AU Details "Polished" NGC, and yet one of the nicest of these seen in some time, struck on an extra-wide flan (of 37 mm, the giveaway of its being Flemish), with even details said to be of "crude" style but quite clear both on the motifs and in the legends. To the cataloguer's eyes, this piece has been skillfully buffed only on its high points, creating a vivid appearance. Gold is light yellow.
