Henry VIII (1509-47) gold Half Sovereign ND, S-2297, North-1828, 3rd Coinage of 1544-47, "S" mm for Southwark mint, XF40 NGC, a typical strike missing many portions of the design, although here the legends are complete and fairly easy to read, within a wide border with considerable raised rim, the sharpest aspect perhaps being the king's small face, which is the classic Henry VIII portrait in miniature. Bright yellow gold color.
