Great Britain
James I (1603-25) gold Double-Crown ND, S-2622, North-2087, 2nd Coinage of 1604-19, 4th Bust, Grapes mm (1607 only), AU53 NGC, a beautiful example of this denomination, struck on a broad flan with complete legends and rims, excellent portrait, every letter of the legends sharp, residual luster, lovely yellow-gold toning. Surfaces choice despite an odd, lighthouse-shaped depression in the left obverse field (possibly a tooling mark made on and transferred from the die). An exceptional coin.
