Great Britain
Commonwealth gold Unite 1650, of 20 Shillings, S-3208, North-2715 (scarce), Sun mm, AU58 NGC, a beautiful coin having gleaming luster, very faint evidence of rub, and wonderfully bold details. The flan is almost perfectly round, and of sound metal. Shields are splendidly detailed; date and legends are very sharp. The sun-face is crisply outlined but flat at center. Early date, too. Overall, this is an outstanding example of the largest gold piece issued by the Commonwealth authorities.
Estimate: 8000-10000 USD
