Great Britain
George II gold 5 Guineas 1741/38, S-3663A, Young laureate Head, Decimo Quarto edge, AU55 NGC, boldly struck and almost fully lustrous, perfectly centered with fine rims, numerous tiny abrasions in the soft gold but choice surfaces for the grade, and bright golden color. The overdate is most distinctive on the 4/3 digits. An exceptionally fine example of this large gold coin, with no hallmark on this piece -- but a beautiful London Mint issue!
