George III gold Proof Half Guinea 1775, by Richard Yeo, S-3733, WR-129 (R3, extremely rare), 4th laureate Head, plain edge with striations from the collar, PR63 Cameo NGC, some ancient light abrasions on the king's face and some faint pin-scratches, also light hairlines, a die-bulge on the reverse -- and yet this is a most desirable and truly rare proof of the 18th century, its bold details showing off the design type better than any MS coin ever could. Thin rims without beading. Reflective surfaces. Lovely reddish gold toning. Ex Millennia (Lot 394), Terner (Lot 212), Selig, and Brooker Collections.
