James I (1603-25) gold Laurel ND, S-2638C, N-2114, 3rd Coinage (of 1619-25), Lis mm (struck 1623-24), 4th Bust, AU53 NGC, an exceptionally fine example of this late gold type from this reign, the king's portrait mostly sharp, the legends clear and unusually full, lustrous surfaces that are choice, normal slight doubling here and there but overall quite a desirable coin that has experienced very little actual wear.
