Charles I (1625-49) gold Unite ND, S-2687, North-2148, Tower Mint under the King, 2nd Bust, Anchor mm (struck 1628-29), AU58 PCGS. Fully lustrous with no apparent wear, choice surfaces, broad flan and nearly round, the king's portrait and his shield both sharp in details, small areas of softness as shown in our illustrations, really sharp legends (showing some doubling) except for the obverse mintmark, which is unreadable; the reverse shows the Anchor mintmark jumbled from the striking jump but its figure is clear enough. An exceptional Unite that is very close to FDC.
