Ferdinand VI Pillar 8 Reales 1757 G-J, KM18, Cal-79. AU58 NGC. 144,181 pieces minted. A beautiful steel toned and well struck specimen, in unusually high grade. A perfect type coin for the Ferdinand VI Guatemala series of pillar dollars. Neither the Haberthuer nor the Amat groups had a comparable specimen for the type, while Patterson had an equivalent example dated 1760 (Bonhams 7/1996, lot 321 for £2,700). Ex.
